The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence recently updated its guideline on treating and managing depression in adults. The first part of this two part unit covered the identification, assessment and initial management of persistent subthreshold depressive symptoms and mild to moderate depression. This second part looks at the core treatments for moderate to severe depression, as well as mild to moderate depression and persistent subthreshold symptoms that have not responded to low intensity interventions.

Purpose: This feasibility study estimated accrual, retention, adherence, and summarized preliminary efficacy data from a stepped-care telehealth intervention for cancer survivors with moderate or severe levels of anxiety and/or depressive symptoms.

Methods: Participants were randomized to intervention or enhanced usual care (stratified by symptom severity). Belumosudil is a first in class ROCK2-inhibitor approved by the FDA for the 3rd line treatment of chronic graft-versus-host disease (cGvHD). In this retrospective real-world analysis, we report safety and efficacy data of belumosudil treatment from 5 German/Swiss transplant centers. A total of 33 adult patients (median age 59 years) with moderate (n = 2) or severe (n = 31) cGvHD were treated on individual request due to lack of EMA approval.
