The application of 2D materials for detecting dissolved gas molecules is essential for identifying faults in oil-immersed transformers. This study investigates the adsorption properties of ZrCl monolayer (ML) and Pd-doped ZrCl ML with six gas molecules (CO, CO, CH, CH, CH, CH) in transformer oil using the density functional approach. The adsorption behaviour was analysed by calculating and comparing the structures, charge transfer and adsorption energies.

Background: Immersive Virtual Reality (VR) has been applied in pain management for various conditions, but its use in fibromyalgia (FM) remains underexplored. While physical activity plays a role in treating FM, patients' low tolerance often limits its effectiveness. After reviewing the literature on VR and games for FM, we designed a novel VR exergame to assist FM patients in performing physical activity, and evaluate its feasibility.

Immersive journalism is an innovative storytelling approach that aims to enable the audience to experience the event or situation in the news using virtual reality, unlike traditional news narration. In this study, the literature related to the subject was searched using the keywords Immersive Journalism, 360-Degree Video, Narrative journalism, Newsgame, VR Storytelling through the Web of Science database and a data set was created from 955 publications between 1999 and 2023. No filter was applied to the studies in the data set of the study and articles, books, and early access publications as well as book chapters, editorial materials or conference proceedings in the Web of Science database were included in the study.

Superhydrophobic surfaces find applications in numerous biomedical scenarios, requiring the repellence of biofluids and biomolecules. Plastron, the trapped air between a superhydrophobic surface and a wetting liquid, plays a pivotal role in biofluid repellency. A key challenge, however, is the often short-lived plastron stability in biofluids and the lack of knowledge surrounding it.
