This paper presents a novel white matter fibre tractography approach using average curves of probabilistic fibre tracking measures. We compute "representative" curves from the original probabilistic curve-set using two different averaging methods. These typical curves overcome a number of the limitations of deterministic and probabilistic approaches. They produce strong connections to every anatomically distinct fibre tract from a seed point and also convey important information about the underlying probability distribution. A new clustering algorithm is employed to separate fibres into branches before applying averaging methods. The performance of the technique is verified on a wide range of seed points using a phantom dataset and an in vivo dataset.

Background And Objectives: Vanishing white matter disease (VWMD) is an autosomal recessive leukoencephalopathy caused by mutations in the EIF2B1-5 genes, typically rare in adulthood. We present a case of adult-onset VWMD with a novel EIF2B2 mutation.
Methods: We collected the patient's clinical data, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) results, laboratory tests, imaging features, genetic analysis, and follow-up data over a 4-year period.

White-Sutton syndrome (WHSUS) is a rare neurodevelopmental disorder caused by heterozygous variants in the POGZ gene. With slightly over 100 reported cases, the diagnosis of WHSUS remains challenging due to its variable and non-specific clinical features. We report a novel case of WHSUS carrying a heterozygous de novo variant in the POGZ gene and with characteristic clinical features including global developmental delay, autism spectrum disorder, generalised myoclonic epilepsy, hypotonia and distinct dysmorphic features.

The reaction between molybdenum(ii) acetate and 5-aminoisophthalic acid (HIso-NH) afforded [MoO(μ-O)(Iso-NH)], a novel molybdenum(v) metal-organic polyhedron (MOP) with a triangular antiprismatic shape stabilized by intramolecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The synthesis conditions, particularly the choice of solvent and reaction time, led to the precipitation of the Mo(v)-MOP in five distinct crystalline forms. These forms vary in their packing arrangements, co-crystallized solvent molecules, and counter-cations, with three phases containing dimethylammonium (dma) and the other two containing diethylammonium (dea).
