Objective: To explore the effect of reparation and restitution of head tissue deletion with autologous fascia lata and local flap.
Method: The clinical data of 8 cases with scalp squamous celled carcinoma from 2003 to 2010 were summarized retrospectively. All patients carcinoma were removed almost, cerebral dura mater deletion and skin deletion from 5 cm to 15 cm, repaired cerebral dura mater with autologou fascia lata; and restitution scalp with local flap, the area of local flap were planted with free skin graft.

Objective: To detect the VEGF-C expression in the serum and tissue of cervical diseases. To explore correlation of tissue and serum expression and the clinical significance of VEGF-C in the cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and cervical squamous-celled carcinoma of Uighur momen in Xinjiang.
Method: (1) The VEGF- C expressions in tissue were tested by immunohistochemisty from the 22 chronic cervicitis, 24 CIN,and 43 squamous-celled carcinoma patients, (2) The VEGF-C contents in the serum were tested by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) from the 15 chronic cervicitis, 23 CIN, and 40 squamous-celled carcinoma patients.

The recurrence and progression of brain metastases after brain irradiation are a major cause of mortality and morbidity in patients with cancer. The risk of radiation-induced neurotoxicity and efficacy probably leads oncologists to not consider re-irradiation. We report the case of a 48-year-old Asian male diagnosed with squamous cell lung cancer and multiple brain metastases initially treated with 40 Gy whole-brain radiotherapy and 20 Gy partial brain boost.

Atypical fibroxanthoma is a bizarre, cytologically malignant but usually clinically benign, lesion which typically arises in sun-damaged skin of the head and neck region in the elderly. Classically, its morphology is said to represent the dermal counterpart of pleomorphic malignant fibrous histiocytoma. We have identified 10 cases of a more monomorphic spindle-celled, fascicular variant which, paradoxically, was often mistaken for a clinically malignant lesion because it lacked the pleomorphism of conventional atypical fibroxanthoma.
