With the rapid development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology, embedded devices in various computer vision scenarios can realize real-time target detection and recognition tasks, such as intelligent manufacturing, automatic driving, smart home, and so on. YOLOv8, as an advanced deep learning model in the field of target detection, has attracted much attention for its excellent detection speed, high precision, and multi-task processing capability. However, since IoT embedded devices typically own limited computing resources, direct deployment of YOLOv8 is a big challenge, especially for real-time detection tasks.

In order to overcome harsh working environments and meet eco-friendly demands, the development of environmentally tolerant and recyclable hydrogels is necessary. Herein, multifunctional conductive hydrogel was successfully constructed by introducing starch into polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)/glycerin (Gly)/lithium chloride (LiCl) hydrogel. Starch is rich in active sites (-OH groups) that provide a variety of physical interactions for the construction of polymer hydrogels.

The study emphasises how ubiquitous persistent organic pollutants (POPs) are and how terrible they are for the environment, specifically because of their tendency to build up in living things and cause a variety of health problems, including diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular disorders. Due to POPs affinity for lipid-rich tissues, they accumulate in a variety of organs, where they cause metabolic disruption and initiate various anabolic pathways. Studies that use fish as a model organism clarify the metabolic effects of POPs, demonstrating non-adipose lipid accumulation and abnormal glucose homeostasis.

Recent developments in artificial intelligence and the internet-of-things have created great demand for low-power microelectronic devices. Two-dimensional (2D) electrical switching materials are extensively used in neuromorphic computing technology, yet their high leakage current and low endurance impede their further application. This study presents a vertical crossbar-structured conductive-bridge threshold switching device based on 2D TaSe oxide.

With climate change, fish are facing rising temperatures, an increase in the frequency and severity of heat waves and hypoxia, sometimes concurrently. However, only limited studies have examined the combined effects of increases in temperature and hypoxia on fish physiology and survival. We measured the cardiorespiratory physiology of 12°C-acclimated Atlantic salmon when exposed acutely to normoxia [100% air saturation (sat.
