Bladder cancer (BC) is the most common malignancy of the urinary tract. About 75% of all BC patients present with non-muscle-invasive BC (NMIBC), of which up to 70% will recur, and 15% will progress in stage and grade. As the recurrence and progression rates of NMIBC are strongly associated with some clinical and pathological factors, several risk stratification models have been developed to individually predict the short- and long-term risks of disease recurrence and progression.

Obviously, the discussion of different factors that could have contributed to the origin of life and evolution is clear speculation, since there is no way of checking the validity of most of the related hypotheses in practice, as the corresponding events not only already happened, but took place in a very distant past. However, there are a few undisputable facts that are present at the moment, such as the existence of a wide variety of living forms and the abundant presence of intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs) or hybrid proteins containing ordered domains and intrinsically disordered regions (IDRs) in all living forms. Since it seems that the currently existing living forms originated from a common ancestor, their variety is a result of evolution.

Complications following surgical repair of pelvic organ prolapse (POP) with polypropylene mesh (PPM) are common. Recent data attributes complications, in part, to stiffness mismatches between the vagina and PPM. We developed a 3D printed elastomeric membrane (EM) from a softer polymer, polycarbonate urethane (PCU).

We point out the issue of differential diagnosis regarding the finding of ectopically localised thymic tissue (a thymic cyst) in the neck. Thymic tissue can be found anywhere along its developmental tract of descent, from the angle of the mandible to the upper mediastinum. Disruption of the thymic descent can result in ectopically/abnormally localised islets of accessory thymic tissue, which may undergo cystic changes, as described in a case report by Sun .
