Metasurfaces consisting of subwavelength structures have shown unparalleled capability in light field manipulation. However, their functionalities are typically static after fabrication, limiting their practical applications. Though persistent efforts have led to dynamic wavefront control with various materials and mechanisms, most of them work in free space and require specialized materials or bulky configurations for external control.

Based on optical holography theory, a holographic conformal modulation mechanism is proposed, and the conformal surface impedance distribution of HM is derived. To illustrate this mechanism, the designed conformal reconfigurable HM is used to demonstrate a series of radiation and scattering modulation functions, with its reconfigurable property enabling dynamic beam control.

Dynamic tuning of electromagnetic waves with multiple degrees of freedom is a key approach to improving information processing capabilities. Metasurfaces with chiral meta-atoms and Janus metasurfaces with asymmetric transmission properties introduce new degrees of freedom for multiplexing technologies.

Based on the error-diffusion algorithm and iterative refinement process, the amplitude distribution of the initial Gaussian light was dynamically closed-loop modulated, and the standard difference of the intensity of the 3 mm diameter center flat-top beam was reduced to less than 3.4%.

Metal single atoms (SA)-support interactions inherently exhibit significant electrochemical activity, demonstrating potential in energy catalysis. However, leveraging these interactions to modulate electronic properties and extend application fields is a formidable challenge, demanding in-depth understanding and quantitative control of atomic-scale interactions. Herein, in situ, off-axis electron holography technique is utilized to directly visualize the interactions between SAs and the graphene surface.
