We present a case of intractable chylorrhea following breast cancer surgery in a 75-year-old female. During a close examination for a mass in her left breast, which was indicated by a CT scan performed to test for nausea, cancer of the left breast and an enlarged left axillary lymph node were observed. The FNA of the axillary lymph node was unsuitable as a sample since no lymph node cell-derived components were observed.

Purpose: Chylorrhea resulting from injury of the lymphatic system during neck dissection is a well-known complication. It is an uncommon occurrence in spinal surgery, and only one case after right anterior cervical spine surgery has been described so far. Despite its rarity, chylous leakage deserves a particular attention since it may become a serious and occasionally fatal complication if not detected early and managed appropriately.

Background: The aim of this study was to confirm prognostic factors for salvage esophagectomy for remnant or recurrent esophageal squamous cell carcinoma after definitive chemoradiotherapy.
Study Design: We retrospectively analyzed clinicopathological backgrounds of 50 patients who underwent salvage esophagectomy between April 2005 and January 2016. Salvage esophagectomy comprised 40 three-incision esophagectomies, two transhiatal esophagectomies and eight pharyngolaryngoesophagectomies.
