Through a clinical observation illustrated with a borderline state described by Bergeret and in a variety of nervous breakdown, the problem of narcissism is set through the quest for an ultimate and an idealization. With the arrival of a late and disorganizing traumatism, is realized an exchange between a narcissic ideal (pureness/virginity) and a megalomaniac one (mysticity). It is the punctual established fact of a cure of a narcissic loss (loss of virginity) by a narcissic recival (God). Virginity represents the main concept of an original ideal by with are established the different axes of a narcissic problem: sexuality-death-religion, where every word seems to have several meanings through these three values.

The experience of pregnancy affects uterine function well beyond delivery. We previously demonstrated that the response to oxytocin is more robust in the uteri of proven breeder rats. This study investigates the contribution of T-type calcium channels (TTCCs) and L-type calcium channels (LTCCs) to the distinct response of virgin (V) and proven breeder (PB) rat uteri to oxytocin.

In this study, the copper(II) complex [Cu(chromoneTSC)Cl]•0.5HO•0.0625CHOH (where chromoneTSC = -Ethyl-2-((4-oxo-4H-chromen-3-yl)methylene)-hydrazinecarbothioamide) was synthesized and characterized; then used to carry out studies in combination with berberine chloride (BBC).

To evaluate visual acuity improvement and identify contributing factors in patients with severe keratitis affecting both virgin and transplanted corneas, treated at a hospital. A retrospective analysis was conducted on 497 patients with unilateral corneal ulcers treated at a tertiary referral center between 2008 and 2023. Data included distance (BCVA) and near best-corrected visual acuity at initial presentation and at discharge, treatments before hospital admission, demographic details, risk factors, clinical signs and symptoms, ancillary test results, and management strategies.

This research explores how varying proportions of virgin polyethylene terephthalate (vPET) and recycled polyethylene terephthalate (rPET) in vPET-rPET blends, combined with preform thermal conditions during the stretch blow molding (SBM) process, influence PET bottles' microscopic characteristics. Key metrics such as viscosity, density, crystallinity, amorphous phase relaxation, and microcavitation were assessed using response surface methodology (RSM). Statistical analysis, including Analysis of variance (ANOVA) and its power, supported the interpretation of results.

Performance Restoration of Chemically Recycled Carbon Fibres Through Surface Modification with Sizing.

Polymers (Basel)

December 2024

Research Lab of Advanced, Composite, Nano-Materials and Nanotechnology (R-NanoLab), School of Chemical Engineering, National Technical University of Athens, 9 Heroon Polytechniou, GR-15773 Athens, Greece.

The recycling of Carbon Fibre-Reinforced Polymers (CFRPs) is becoming increasingly crucial due to the growing demand for sustainability in high-performance industries such as automotive and aerospace. This study investigates the impact of two chemical recycling techniques, chemically assisted solvolysis and plasma-enhanced solvolysis, on the morphology and properties of carbon fibres (CFs) recovered from end-of-life automotive parts. In addition, the effects of fibre sizing are explored to enhance the performance of the recycled carbon fibres (rCFs).
