Hemangioma of the thyroid gland is an extremely rare condition. We report a case of a primary cavernous hemangioma in the left lobe of the thyroid gland in an 84-year-old woman. Ultrasound examination of the lesion showed an inhomogeneous and hypoechoic nodule that was well demarcated from the rest of the left lobe and hypovascular on color Doppler ultrasound. Ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration was performed. The cytologic differential diagnosis included an anaplastic carcinoma of the thyroid gland. After hemithyroidectomy, the final diagnosis was a benign hemangioma of the thyroid gland.

Context: Previous studies have demonstrated a correlation between creatinine and cystatin levels and thyroid disorders.
Objective: To further investigate the diagnostic value of serum creatinine to cystatin C ratio in the diagnosis of thyrotoxicosis.
Design: One hundred eighty four thyrotoxicosis patients and 406 healthy controls were enrolled.

Context: In patients undergoing thyroidectomy for malignant disease, lower quality of life scores were observed in the early postoperative period compared to those undergoing thyroidectomy for benign causes.
Objective: Thyroid gland diseases are commonly encountered in society. This study presents health-related quality of life differences in thyroidectomies performed for benign and malignant diseases and the factors affecting this.

Objective: To review a rare case of a lateral neck mass pathologically confirmed as an encapsulated papillary thyroid carcinoma in our center for complementing the lack of management of rare cases, and to explore the differentiation of primary ectopic thyroid carcinoma and metastatic disease in the context of the presence of malignant tumors within the situ thyroid gland.
Methods: We searched for studies on lateral neck ectopic thyroid cancer to compare and analyze it with metastatic carcinoma of the thyroid gland in terms of clinical features, imaging manifestations, pathological features at molecular level, and treatment principles.
Results: Based on available data, we concluded that the mass of this patient was consistent with metastatic lateral neck ectopic thyroid carcinoma.

We report the features of spontaneous bilateral thyroid follicular cell carcinoma in a 10-year-old male beagle. Necropsy revealed bilateral masses on the trachea, corresponding to the left and right sides of the thyroid gland. The masses were elastic, encapsulated, and distinct, with no connecting tumor tissues between them.

Rationale: Follicular tumors with uncertain malignant potential of the thyroid are a new classification of thyroid tumors in the World Health Organization (2017). Only a few cases of evaluating the value of ultrasound combined with pathological examination in diagnosing follicular tumors with uncertain malignant potential of the thyroid have been reported in recent decades.
Patient Concerns: A retrospective analysis was performed on 18 patients with follicular tumors with uncertain thyroid malignant potential who underwent preoperative ultrasonography and were confirmed by operation and pathology in our hospital from January 2019 to November 2024.
