This study presents the development of a dual-mode aptasensor for the sensitive detection of kanamycin (KAN), utilizing both fluorescence and colorimetric signals. The aptasensor was constructed using amino-functionalized silica nanoparticles (SiO) combined with copper nanoclusters (CuNCs) and DNA-templated silver nanoclusters (DNA-AgNCs). Encapsulating CuNCs within SiO (CuNCs@SiO) enhanced their stability by shielding them from environmental interference, while maintaining their bright blue fluorescence as a reference signal.

Here we report two novel synthetic riboswitches that respond to ASP2905 and theophylline and function in reconstituted cell-free protein synthesis (CFPS) system. We encapsulated the CFPS system as well as DNA-templated encoding reporter genes regulated by these orthogonal riboswitches inside liposomes, and achieved switchable and orthogonal control over gene expression by external stimulation with the cognate ligands.

Bio-templated luminescent noble metal nanoclusters (NCs) have attracted great attention for their intriguing physicochemical properties. Continuous efforts are being made to prepare NCs with high fluorescence quantum yield (QY), good biocompatibility, and tunable emission properties for their widespread practical applications as new-generation environment-friendly photoluminescent materials in materials chemistry and biological systems. Herein, we explored the unique photophysical properties of silver nanoclusters (AgNCs) templated by cytosine-rich customized hairpin DNA.

Encoded combinatorial library technologies have dramatically expanded the chemical space for screening but are usually only analyzed by affinity selection binding. It would be highly advantageous to reformat selection outputs to "one-bead-one-compound" solid-phase libraries, unlocking activity-based and cellular screening capabilities.
