Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate the mechanism of TRPM8 in neuroproliferation and pain, as well as the relevance of the Akt/mTOR signaling pathway in mice with IC/BPS.
Methods: The model of IC/BPS was established in wild and TRPM8 mice. The mechanical sensitivity was measured.

Low back pain (LBP) has become a leading cause of disability worldwide. Astrocyte activation in the spinal cord plays an important role in the maintenance of latent sensitization of dorsal horn neurons in LBP. However, the role of spinal c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) in astrocytes in modulating pain behavior of LBP model rats and its neurobiological mechanism have not been elucidated.

Introduction: Following amputation, peripheral nerves lack distal targets for regeneration, often resulting in symptomatic neuromas and debilitating neuropathic pain. Animal models can establish a practical method for symptomatic neuroma formation for better understanding of neuropathic pain pathophysiology through behavioral and histological assessments. We created a clinically translatable animal model of symptomatic neuroma to mimic neuropathic pain in patients and assess sexual differences in pain behaviors.

Introduction: Neck pain is a leading cause of disability worldwide. Visceral referred pain is a common form of disease-induced pain, with visceral nociception being referred to somatic tissues.
Objective: The aim of this case report was to evaluate the immediate and long term effects of a novel osteopathic visceral technique (OVT) on pain and cervical range of motion (CROM) in a patient with nonspecific neck pain (NS-NP).
