Introduction: Venous aneurysms are a rare entity in vascular surgery, which are mostly described in individual case series and meta-analyses generated from them. The treatment concepts are diverse and surgical treatment is highlighted due to the risk of thrombosis and pulmonary embolism. There is still an ongoing debate regarding the postoperative necessity and duration of anticoagulation.

Purpose: Vascular injuries require immediate surgical treatment with standard vascular techniques. We aimed to identify pitfalls in vascular surgery for trauma team optimization and to suggest recommendations for trauma and vascular surgeons.
Methods: We reviewed 28 victims and analyzed the patterns of injuries, methods of repair, and outcomes.

Objective: Venous aneurysms are rare vascular abnormalities associated with venous thromboembolism. In this study, we presented our experience in managing thrombosed lower extremity venous aneurysms and evaluate the impact of vitamin D deficiency and genetic thrombophilic risk factors on patient management and outcomes.
Methods: A single-center retrospective observational analysis was conducted on ten patients with thrombosed lower limb venous aneurysms who underwent surgical procedures at our hospital from July 2014 to February 2023.

Background: Traumatic injuries affecting the veins in the lower extremities have been correlated with both mortality and severe complications. Venous injuries are recognized as a contributing factor to the development of venous thromboembolism, commonly treated through procedures involving either vein ligation or repair. Despite previous efforts, substantial uncertainty remains when it comes to choosing between the execution of ligation versus various reparative techniques.

Background: Popliteal artery injuries (PAIs) may have amputation rates as high as 20%. This study focuses on identifying risk factors associated with major amputations following PAIs in a large single-center cohort. Additionally, we assess the impact of repairing or ligating concomitant popliteal vein injuries.
