We describe two patients who developed subacute axonal peripheral neuropathy under duodopa treatment. Comprehensive diagnostic workup including muscle and sural nerve biopsy revealed that the most probable cause of subacute axonal peripheral neuropathy was cobalamin and vitamin B6 deficiency in both the patients.

Spinal cord injury (SCI) results in damage to neural circuits that cause long-term locomotor and sensory disability. The objective of the present study is to evaluate whether a clinical drug, protamine, can be employed as a therapeutic agent for SCI. First, we examined the rescue effect of protamine on dystrophic endballs (DEs) cultured on a chondroitin sulfate (CS) gradient coating.

A man in his 30s with a history of refractory classical Hodgkin's lymphoma presented with subacute onset asymmetric sensory disturbance, and severe weakness affecting his right more than left hand. Symptom onset was 18 weeks after commencing brentuximab vedotin (BV) treatment, an anti-CD30 antibody drug-conjugate for relapsed/refractory classical Hodgkin's lymphoma. Symptoms progressed to his lower limbs with distal sensory loss, gait imbalance, bilateral foot drop and mild proximal leg weakness.

Aims: Limited understanding of neurobiological mechanisms of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) prevents us from choosing optimal therapeutic regimen for patients to improve therapeutic efficiency. Resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI) has been demonstrated to obtain comparable functional readouts across species.
Methods: Intermittent and continuous theta burst stimulation were used to stimulate ipsilesional and contralesional hemisphere, respectively, during the subacute phase after stroke.

Background Aims: In this article we aimed to provide an expert synthesis of the current status of Schwann cell (SC)therapeutics and potential steps to increase their clinical utility.
Methods: We provide an expert synthesis based on preclinical, clinical and manufacturing experience.
Results: Schwann cells (SCs) are essential for peripheral nerve regeneration and are of interest in supporting axonal repair after spinal cord injury (SCI).
