Background: Synthesis of the original Schiff base CdCl (CHNO) compound (Schiff base complex) displays an extensive range of bioactivities and was predictably utilized to treat several syndromes.
Purpose: The goal of the existing experiment is to evaluate the gastroprotective effects of a novel Schiff base CdCl₂ (C14H21N3O2) compound in alcohol-induced gastric ulcers in rats by examining its antioxidant activity, anti-inflammatory effects, and modulation of key molecular markers, including heat shock protein-70 (HSP-70) and Bcl-2-associated X protein (Bax) proteins.
Methods: Five groups of rats were utilized in the current study.

Cherubism is a rare autosomal dominant skeletal dysplasia, affecting the maxilla and/or mandible. The condition typically has childhood onset, followed by progression until puberty, with subsequent regression. Cherubism lesions share histological features with giant cell tumor of bone, where high-dose monthly denosumab is an effective medical treatment.

Objectives: To investigate the protective effects and underlying mechanisms of extract on motor dysfunction in mouse model of Parkinson's disease (PD).
Methods: Eighty C57BL/6 male mice were randomly divided into five groups: control group, PD model group, levodopa treatment group (positive control group), low-dose GP treatment group (LD-GP group), and high-dose GP treatment group (HD-GP group), with 16 mice per group. The PD model was induced by injection of 6-hydroxydopamine into the substantia nigra pars reticulata in mice of last 5 groups.

Vision loss affects more than 7 million Americans and impacts quality of life, independence, social functioning, and overall health. Common and dangerous conditions causing sudden vision loss include acute angle-closure glaucoma, retinal detachment, retinal artery occlusion, giant cell arteritis, and optic neuritis. Acute angle-closure glaucoma features ocular pain, headache, and nausea; treatment includes pilocarpine eye drops, oral or intravenous acetazolamide, and intravenous mannitol.

Sulcardine sulfate (Sul) is a novel antiarrhythmic agent blocking multiple channels and exhibits unique pharmacological properties such as lower APD-dependent prolongation and reduced arrhythmia risk. Sul is currently in Phase III clinical trials, yet studies on its long-term toxicological profile and potential target organs remain unexplored. This study investigated the related toxicity of Sul in Sprague Dawley (SD) rats through repeated oral administration for 26 weeks, followed by a 4-week recovery period.
