Technetium-99m stannous pyrophosphate scintiscanning was performed in 22 patients with radiographically detected calcification within the cardiac silhouette. All but one of these scintigrams showed a localised area of increased activity similar to that ordinarily seen in acute myocardial infarction. Scintiscans in 3 patients after removal of the calcified aortic valve reverted to negative. It was concluded that this technique for acute infarct detection may yield false positive results in the presence of cardiac calcification.

Background: Parkinson's disease (PD) is characterized by the degeneration of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra. SPECT imaging using technetium-99m [Tc] labeled trodat is the choice of imaging to differentiate PD from its other forms like drug-induced PD.
Aims And Objectives: The main objective of our study was to prepare in-house sterile formulation of [Tc]Tc-trodat and use in clinics.

Background: Advances in molecular imaging strategies have had an effect on precise diagnosis and treatment. Research has been intensified to develop more effective and versatile radiopharmaceuticals to uplift diagnostic efficiency and, consequently, the treatment.
Purpose: To label the flutamide (FLUT) coupled with diethylenetriamine pentaacetate (DTPA) with technetium-99 m (Tc) and to evaluate its binding efficiency with rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) cancer cells.

Radionuclide ventriculography or Multi Gated Acquisition (MUGA) employing [ 99m Tc]Technetium red blood cell (RBC) labeling is considered the gold standard for cardiotoxicity assessments in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. This in-vivo RBC labeling technique involves the reduction of [ 99m Tc]Technetium by the stannous chloride present in freeze-dried reagent kits, with the pyrophosphate kit (PYP) being the most employed for this purpose. The literature, however, describes diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid (DTPA) as an alternative to PYP, although a lack of comparative data from MUGA images between both reagents is noted.

Objective: The objective of this study was to develop radiolabeled ibuprofen (Tc-ibu) for imaging and discrimination of inflammation and infection and compare its biodistribution in two different animal models.
Significance: The development of radiolabeled ibuprofen as an imaging agent for inflammation and infection may have significant clinical implications for the diagnosis and management of various inflammatory and infectious diseases. This study provides a promising approach to the detection of sterile infections.
