The authors discuss the results of their personal observations over patients with Crohn's disease (57 males and 88 females). Preoperative diagnosis of the disease is extremely difficult. A purposeful and carefully taken medical history, and dynamic observation may help in recognizing the disease. Appendectomy is indicated when the process occurs in the terminal ileum because the appendix is involved in the inflammatory process; resection of the stenosed segment is indicated in small intestinal obturation.

Background And Objective: Leucine-rich alpha-2 glycoprotein (LRG) is a novel biomarker for Crohn's disease (CD). The utility of combination use of LRG and C-reactive protein (CRP) has not been reported. This study aimed to investigate the diagnostic performance of LRG in combination with CRP to predict endoscopic activity.

Purpose Of Review: Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) can cause significant psychological, physical, and economic burdens on patients and healthcare systems. Studies show over one-fifth of patients will seek nontraditional methods of treatment for managing their symptoms. Understanding the benefits - and potential harms - of these therapies is important to provide holistic and evidence-based care to our IBD patients.

Importance: Poor nutrition and growth in childhood have short-term and long-term consequences, so understanding the timing of the onset of an impaired nutritional status is crucial for diagnosing and treating inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) at its earliest stage.
Objective: To assess anthropometric trajectories before a pediatric diagnosis of IBD and growth recovery after diagnosis.
Design, Setting, And Participants: This population-based cohort study included children born in Denmark from January 1, 1997, through December 31, 2015, with weight and length or height measurements at birth and at least 1 length or height and weight measurement at school age based on the Danish Medical Birth Register and the Danish National Child Health Register.

Objective: This meta-analysis aims to systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of cannabis in the management of Crohn's disease (CD) by synthesizing evidence from randomized controlled trials (RCTs). By adhering to the 2020 PRISMA guidelines and registering the study protocol with PROSPERO, this research intends to offer robust, evidence-based recommendations for healthcare practitioners on the therapeutic potential and clinical implications of cannabis use in CD management.
Methods: A literature search encompassing PubMed, Google Scholar, and the Cochrane Library was conducted to identify relevant RCTs comparing cannabis to placebo or standard therapy in CD patients.

Purpose: To compare audiological profiling and association of hearing loss in different types of IBD and evaluate the degree of hearing impairment based on duration of illness and age parameters.
Methods: 120 subjects evaluated at a tertiary centre were divided into 2 groups- Controls and Cases. Cases were sub grouped into Ulcerative colitis (UC) and Crohn's disease based on biopsy.
