A 39-yr-old, acyclic, uniparous, female white rhinoceros with a history of recurrent vaginal bleeding was euthanized following a period of respiratory distress and ill-thrift. The rhinoceros' uterus had previously been evaluated by ultrasound and diffuse endometrial hyperplasia and two benign uterine leiomyomas had been diagnosed. At necropsy examination, a large, infiltrative, metastatic uterine adenocarcinoma was found multifocally throughout the uterus, scattered within the peritoneal cavity, on the diaphragm, the splenic capsule, the pleural surface of the lung and mesenteric lymph nodes. A large volume (100 L) of ascites fluid was present in the abdominal and pleural cavities.

Background Uterine isthmocele, a defect in the uterine wall at the cesarean scar, is increasingly recognized due to the rising rate of cesarean deliveries. Often asymptomatic, it may lead to complications such as abnormal bleeding, chronic pelvic pain, secondary infertility, or uterine rupture during subsequent pregnancies. Objective This study aimed to assess the prevalence, clinical features, and associated risk factors of uterine isthmocele among women with previous cesarean scars over four years (2019-2023) at Rabia Balkhi Hospital, Afghanistan.

Objective: To investigate the effect of traditional Chinese medicine nursing scheme on gastrointestinal function recovery in patients with uterine fibroids after high-intensity focused ultrasound treatment.
Methods: By convenient sampling method, 110 patients who received high-intensity focused ultrasound treatment for uterine fibroids from January 2023 to December 2023 in HIFU Treatment Center, a Grade-III obstetrics and gynecology hospital in Shanghai were selected as the study objects and were divided into a control group (n = 54) and experimental group (n = 56) by non-synchronous control study. The control group was treated with conventional nursing mode, and the experimental group was treated with traditional Chinese medicine nursing plan for gastrointestinal function recovery of patients with uterine fibroids after sea aid treatment.

This study aims to assess the predictive value of certain markers of inflammation in patients with locally advanced or recurrent/metastatic cervical cancer who are undergoing treatment with anti-programmed death 1 (PD-1) therapy. A total of 105 patients with cervical cancer, who received treatment involving immunocheckpoint inhibitors (ICIs), were included in this retrospective study. We collected information on various peripheral blood indices, including the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR), lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio (LMR), systemic immune-inflammation index (SII), and prognostic nutritional index (PNI).

Background: The incidence of gynecological cancers in premenopausal women is increasing, highlighting issues related to Hormonal Contraception (HC) and Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). However, the presence of hormonal receptors in many gynecological cancers complicates HC and HRT prescriptions.
Objective: To identify barriers experienced by gynecologists in prescribing HC and HRT to gynecological cancer survivors, with a secondary objective of conducting a literature review on the safety of these prescriptions.
