Background: In clinical practices, doctors usually need to synthesize several single-modality medical images for diagnosis, which is a time-consuming and costly process. With this background, multimodal medical image fusion (MMIF) techniques have emerged to synthesize medical images of different modalities, providing a comprehensive and objective interpretation of the lesion.
Purpose: Although existing MMIF approaches have shown promising results, they often overlook the importance of multiscale feature diversity and attention interaction, which are essential for superior visual outcomes.

We have conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to evaluate the cosmetic applications of extracts (DMEs). A total of 261 articles were screened; however, after eliminating inappropriate studies, only 16 individual studies were eligible. The comparative standardized mean difference (SMD) between the DME treatment and control groups was used to evaluate the cosmetic properties of DME, including its biocompatibility, whitening effects, and anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties.

Background: Utilization of transvenous lead extraction/removal (TLE) for the management of cardiac implantable electronic device (CIED)-associated infective endocarditis (IE) remains low.
Objective: To examine the impact of hospital TLE procedural volume on TLE utilization and outcomes for patients with CIED-associated IE.
Methods: Using the Nationwide Readmissions Database, we evaluated 21,545 admissions for patients (mean age 70, 39% female) with CIEDs hospitalized with IE at TLE centres.
