Introduction: Impacted maxillary canines are a serious problem in orthodontics and prosthodontics. The incidence of impaction has been reported at 3.3% of the general population and is more common among women. Impaction of canines can be unilateral or bilateral, palatal or labial. The causes of this pathology are varied. Irrespective of the cause of impaction, missing canines represent first and foremost an esthetic problem. The aim of this study was to analyze the possibilities of reconstructing missing permanent maxillary canines in a given clinical situation.

Material And Methods: We present the case of a young female with bilateral impaction of permanent and retention of deciduous maxillary canines. A detailed orthodontic investigation ruled out the possibility of forced eruption of impacted canines. Consequently, surgical extraction of impacted canines and prosthetic replacement of missing teeth using endosseous implants were done.

Results: The immediate functional and esthetic result in the patient was very good. As prosthetic crowns were cemented to the implants on the day of implantation, soft tissues received support without risk of contour change. The procedure ensured comfort for the patient without the need of wearing removable partial dentures.

Conclusions: 1. Missing permanent canines represent a significant esthetic defect of dentition. 2. Surgical extraction and reconstructive treatment is an option when forced eruption of impacted canines proves impossible. 3. Close cooperation between the orthodontist and implant prosthodontist is necessary for a satisfactory esthetic result.

The palate's morphological characteristics are of great importance, especially in periodontology, where the palatine tissue represents a source of tissue graft for multiple mucogingival surgeries. This study aimed to estimate the amount of donor tissue available through the average palatal height and average location of the greater palatine artery in the Saudi population according to age and gender. Digital casts for adult Saudi patients at the age of 18-60 years old with a mean age of 37.

Background: Establishing accurate, reliable, and convenient methods for enamel segmentation and analysis is crucial for effectively planning endodontic, orthodontic, and restorative treatments, as well as exploring the evolutionary patterns of mammals. However, no mature, non-destructive method currently exists in clinical dentistry to quickly, accurately, and comprehensively assess the integrity and thickness of enamel chair-side. This study aims to develop a deep learning work, 2.

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate bone remodeling in gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) during canine distalization in obese individuals and compare it to that in normal-weight individuals. Additionally, the orthodontic tooth movement rates of obese individuals were measured and compared with those of normal-weight individuals.

Methods: Thirty-six patients (18 obese and 18 normal-weight) aged 12-18 years who were candidates for maxillary first premolar extraction for Angle Class II malocclusion were included in the study.

Background: The mechanical properties of framework materials significantly influence stress distribution and the long-term success of implant-supported prostheses. Although titanium, cobalt-chromium, zirconia, and polyether ether ketone (PEEK) are widely used, their biomechanical performance under dynamic loading conditions remains insufficiently investigated. This study aimed to evaluate the biomechanical behavior of four framework materials with different Young's modulus using dynamic finite element stress analysis.

Introduction: The complexity of treating impacted maxillary canines varies based on their angulation and position within the dental arch. The aim of this research was to compare the mesiodistal angulation of maxillary canines according to their impaction sector.

Methods: This cross-sectional study evaluated 229 impacted maxillary canines in 171 panoramic radiographs from two private radiology centres in Uruguay and Chile of individuals of both sexes aged 11 years and older with impacted maxillary canines.
