Decellularized tissue-engineered vascular grafts (dTEVGs) exhibit superior biocompatibility, anti-infection properties and repair potential, contributing to better patency and making them a more ideal choice for arteriovenous grafts (AVGs) in hemodialysis compared to chemically synthesized grafts. However, the unsatisfactory reendothelialization and smooth muscle remodeling of current dTEVGs limit their advantages. In this study, we investigated the use of elastase to improve the porosity of elastic fiber layers in dTEVGs, aiming to promote cell infiltration and achieve superior reendothelialization and smooth muscle remodeling.

Since the late 1980s, the standard approach for treating D-transposition of the great arteries has been the arterial switch operation (ASO), replacing the Mustard/Senning procedure. Although ASO has shown impressive long-term survival rates, recent case series have revealed late complications such as neoaortic dilation and coronary artery stenosis. New findings emphasize the need for comprehensive evaluation of coronary risk and a deeper understanding of the mechanisms leading to coronary artery stenosis and myocardial ischemia over the long term.

This article represents a unique CT-based sign called the Mickey Mouse sign in a diabetic female who presented with abdominal distension and mixed urinary symptoms. The CT scan showed that the bladder was massively dilated but compliant without impacting the upper urinary tract. The subtle clinical presentation and the impressive CT scan findings encouraged us to report this case as underactive bladder syndrome (UAB) is underreported and underinvestigated.

Dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), a primary myocardial disorder, manifests through the dilation of one or both ventricles, coupled with systolic and valvular dysfunction. Renal agenesis is a congenital condition characterized by the absence of one or both kidneys at birth. Unilateral renal agenesis, wherein one kidney is absent, can subtly evade detection due to the impressive adaptability of the remaining kidney, often preserving typical functionality.

Transformer-based methodologies in object detection have recently piqued considerable interest and have produced impressive results. DETR, an end-to-end object detection framework, ingeniously integrates the Transformer architecture, traditionally used in NLP, into computer vision for sequence-to-sequence prediction. Its enhanced variant, DINO, featuring improved denoising anchor boxes, has showcased remarkable performance on the COCO val2017 dataset.
