Efforts to reduce preventable medication-related harm through medication reviews have increased, but interventions often yield null-results regarding clinical outcomes. We conducted a systematic literature search in four data bases and summarised the available evidence from randomised controlled trials (RCTs) comparing medication reviews and usual care in hospitalised patients regarding hospital readmissions and all-cause mortality by random-effects meta-analyses. Effect size differences by methodological study differences were of special interest.

Background: There are no studies investigating missed opportunities for earlier diagnosis in newly/recently detected Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease in the region of Bihar, India.
Methods: This study is a single-center cross-sectional study undertaken at the Research Centre for Diabetes Hypertension and Obesity, Samastipur, Bihar, India. The study collected data from newly/recently diagnosed persons with T2DM.
Background: Neutropenia and febrile neutropenia (FN) are serious complications of myelosuppressive chemotherapy and present a considerable burden to patients with cancer. Febrile neutropenia is associated with increased risks of infection and hospitalization, a particular concern during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Oncology nurses and advanced practice providers (APPs; including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, advanced practice nurses, and pharmacists) play a vital role in the management of patients with cancer and the prevention of infections.
