Nanoparticles (NPs) have been surfacing as a pivotal platform for vaccine development. In our previous work, we developed a cholera toxin B subunit (CTB)-based self-assembled nanoparticle (CNP) and produced highly promising bioconjugate nanovaccines by loading bacterial polysaccharide (OPS) in vivo. In particular, the O2 serotype vaccine showcased a potent immune response and protection against infection.

Microplatelets of the layered-kagome compound BaCo(VO)(OH), which is the Co analogue of mineral vesignieite BaCu(VO)(OH), have been prepared with very high yield by hydrothermal reaction using synthetic karpenkoite CoVO(OH)·2HO as starting reagent. The Rietveld refinement of X-ray diffraction data indicates that CoVO(OH)·2HO is isostructural with martyite ZnVO(OH)·2HO. Two single-phased samples of microstructured BaCo(VO)(OH) have been characterized using powder X-ray diffraction, FT-IR and Raman spectroscopies, thermal analyses, scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and magnetisation measurements.

The present article discloses an improved and robust commercial process of the modern medicine naloxegol oxalate, which is used to treat opioid-induced constipation. The synthesis originates from the easily available key starting material, viz., naloxone, and ends with the oxalate salt of naloxegol (a pharmaceutically acceptable salt).

AlCp*-complexes with transition metals have shown to be highly reactive and enable C-H or Si-H bond activation. Yet, complexes of AlCp* with low-valent main-group metals are scarce. Here, we report the syntheses of [M(AlCp*)][Al(OR)] (R = C(CF)) with M = Ga, In, Tl, which include the first covalent Al-In and Al-Tl bonds.
