Multiple myeloma is characterized by the neoplastic proliferation of a single clone of plasma cells producing a monoclonal immunoglobulin. Myelomatous nodular lesions of the liver are infrequent. We describe 3 cases with histological confirmation and we review the bibliography.

Background: Focal nodular hyperplasia (FNH)-like lesions are hyperplastic formations in patients with micronodular cirrhosis and a history of alcohol abuse. Although pathologically similar to hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) lesions, they are benign. As such, it is important to develop methods to distinguish between FNH-like lesions and HCC.

Congenital extrahepatic portosystemic shunt, also known as Abernethy malformation, is a rare anatomic vascular malformation. Patients with Abernethy malformation may present with abdominal pain, abnormal liver function tests, hepatopulmonary syndrome, pulmonary hypertension, and/or portosystemic encephalopathy. Accurate identification of the shunt and portal vein and effective management of complications is vital in these patients.

Erythema induratum of Bazin (EIB) is a rare manifestation of cutaneous tuberculosis, typically associated with active tuberculosis infections. We present the case of a 75-year-old immunocompetent Spanish woman who developed nodular lesions on her lower limbs.
