Intraseptal-course, ectopic coronary anomalies are not well characterized as to anatomy, function, prognosis, and treatment. Recently, a revolutionary but unsupported new theory is claiming that most patients with a Left Anomalous Coronary Artery originating from the Opposite Sinus with anomalous Intra-Septal course (L-ACAOS-IS)-even small children-have significant stenoses and require open-heart surgery to prevent acute myocardial infarction and death. This surprising view has spurred ongoing discussions among adult and pediatric cardiologists and cardiac surgeons, compelling us (the conservative party in the discussion) to offer an in-depth and comprehensive review of this anomaly, based on objective but opposite data.

The formation of disulphide bonds is an essential step in the folding of many proteins that enter the secretory pathway; therefore, it is not surprising that eukaryotic and prokaryotic organisms have dedicated enzymatic systems to catalyse this process. In bacteria, one such enzyme is disulphide bond-forming protein A (DsbA), a thioredoxin-like thiol oxidase that catalyses the oxidative folding of proteins required for virulence and fitness. A large body of work on DsbA proteins, particularly DsbA (EcDsbA), has demonstrated the key role that the Cys-XX-Cys catalytic motif and its unique redox properties play in the thiol oxidase activity of this enzyme.

Introduction: Modified tension band wiring (MTBW) using two cannulated cancellous screws which also achieve a horizontal figure of eight patterns of tension band is established as a superior fixation to using Kirschner wires for type 34-C1 fracture of the patella. We are describing a case where this method was used for failed MTBW using two Kirschner wires where an impending failure in the early post-operative period proceeded to complete bony union without any implant failure or functional deficit following a period of conservative management.
Case Presentation: We are describing a 67-year-old man with type 34-C1 fracture of patella treated by MTBW using Kirschner wires and a stainless steel (SS) wire, with fixation failure after around 6 weeks, which was revised by MTBW using two vertically placed cannulated partially threaded cancellous screws and SS wire as a tension band.

Networks of nanowires are currently being explored for a range of applications in brain-like (or neuromorphic) computing, and especially in reservoir computing (RC). Fabrication of real-world computing devices requires that the nanowires are deposited sequentially, leading to stacking of the wires on top of each other. However, most simulations of computational tasks using these systems treat the nanowires as 1D objects lying in a perfectly 2D plane - the effect of stacking on RC performance has not yet been established.
