Non-medical reasons that influence the decision to perform cesarean section are the subject of numerous medical and bioethical debates. The questions to be answered are: can a pregnant woman demand cesarean section based on her right to make decisions, i.e. on patient rights? Do such a request and permission given by the woman justify the physician to perform the procedure without clear medical indication, knowing that cesarean section is associated with higher maternal morbidity and mortality rate than vaginal delivery? Among the numerous reasons stated by pregnant women or their families when demanding cesarean section, this paper is focused on labor pain. The experience of pain during delivery is the result of many complex physiologic and psychosocial factors that act on the woman's personal interpretation of the nociceptive delivery stimuli. A mother's request for cesarean section should not be motivated by the lack of efficiency of pain management. Such motivation points to inadequate prenatal care and patient education offered by the obstetrician and anesthesiologist. Decisions to perform cesarean section upon request are not in accordance with the guidelines of declarations and codes of medical ethics, and have no legal basis in our country.

Anti-M antibody is one of the causes of severe fetal anemia and intrauterine death despite its relatively low frequency. A G3P2 26-year-old pregnant woman referred to our hospital at 29 weeks gestational age (WGA) with fetal hydrops. Her second pregnancy results in intrauterine fetal death at 35 WGA due to fetal hydrops.

Background: The risk of perinatal death and severe neonatal morbidity increases gradually after 41 weeks of pregnancy. We evaluated maternal and perinatal outcomes after a national shift from expectancy and induction at 42+0 weeks to a more active management of late-term pregnancies in Sweden offering induction from 41+0 weeks or an individual plan aiming at birth or active labour no later than 42+0 weeks.
Methods And Findings: Women with a singleton pregnancy lasting 41+0 weeks or more with a fetus in cephalic presentation (N = 150,370) were included in a nationwide, register-based cohort study.

Objective: To assess the association between mode of delivery and 2-year motor function in children with prenatal diagnosis of myelomeningocele.
Methods: A multisite retrospective cohort study of children with myelomeningocele across 14 NAFTNet (North American Fetal Therapy Network) centers born between 2007 and 2020 who had a physical examination available at 2 years of life. Exclusion criteria were in utero myelomeningocele repair, postnatal myelomeningocele diagnosis, missing data on fetal presentation at delivery, and contraindications to labor.

Purpose: While strategies aimed at preventing urological injuries complicating hysterectomy for gynaecological indications and placenta accreta surgery have been proposed, a comprehensive model for pregnancy-related hysterectomy (PRH) is lacking. The aim of this study was to investigate risk factors for urological complications of obstetric hysterectomy, and to propose strategies to improve the quality of care.
Methods: This retrospective study of patients undergoing PRH was conducted in an academic centre between 2009 and 2022.

Prolactinomas are the most prevalent subtype of pituitary adenomas and represent one of the leading etiological factors responsible for amenorrhea and infertility in women. The primary therapeutic approach entails the use of dopamine agonists, which effectively restore fertility. In cases of microprolactinomas, the likelihood of experiencing a symptomatic enlargement of the tumor during pregnancy is exceptionally low, estimated at a mere 2.
