Unlabelled: Metabolic changes resulting from type 1 diabetes mellitus (DM1) may put growth and development at risk.
Objective: To evaluate the final stature of DM1 patients and the interference of DM1 in growth.
Subjects And Methods: The final height reached by 58 DM1 patients was evaluated according to anthropometric data and metabolic control.
Results: Mean age was 26.4 years (15.0-51.0) and the duration of disease was of 9.6 years (1.4-25.0). Final stature was 165.1 cm (149.3-183.0) and the z-score for height was 0.09 (-1.76-2.85). In a subgroup (n = 34), it was possible to evaluate the effect of metabolic control on growth. Mean glycosylated hemoglobin was 12.2% (6.8-24.1) and the correlation between anthropometric data and glucose control was not considered statistically significant (p > 0.05).
Conclusion: We conclude that DM1 had no effect on the final stature, to the detriment of a poor metabolic control.

Hydroxycinnamic acid derivatives are a class of phenolic acid compounds, including sinapic acid, ferulic acid, and caffeic acid, which are widely found in plants. This experiment was conducted to study the effects of hydroxycinnamic acid derivatives (sinapic acid, ferulic acid, and caffeic acid) on the growth performance, muscle physical parameters, and intestinal morphology of tilapia. A total of 320 tilapia fingerlings (9.

Purpose: To investigate the clinical outcomes of stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) in patients with large uveal melanoma (UM).
Materials And Methods: We conducted a retrospective review of 64 consecutive patients with UM treated with Cyberknife at Yonsei Cancer Center from September 2015 to October 2021. The median radiation dose was 60 Gy (range 48-64 Gy) administered in four fractions every alternate day.

This study aimed to investigate the effects of soybean bioactive peptide (SBP) on the growth performance and intestinal health of yellow-feathered broilers and to further elucidate the regulatory mechanisms of intestinal health using multi-omics analysis. A total of 320 1-day-old yellow-feathered broilers were randomly divided into two groups, with 10 replicates per group and 16 birds per replicate. Broilers in the control group received the basal diet, and those in the experimental group (SBPG) received the basal diet with 0.

The objective of this study was to preliminarily explore the effects of Calsporin® (Bacillus subtilis C-3102) on the growth performance, intestinal morphology, apparent digestibility, and cecal microbiota of geese. A total of 144 Sanhua geese, aged 35 days, were randomly divided into three groups: a control group, a group receiving a basal diet supplemented with 30 ppm Bacillus subtilis (B. subtilis), and a group receiving a basal diet supplemented with 60 ppm B.

Background And Objectives: The pharmacokinetics (PK) of piperacillin/tazobactam (PIP/TAZ) is highly variable across different patient populations and there are controversies regarding non-linear elimination as well as the fraction unbound of PIP (f). This has led to a plethora of subgroup-specific models, increasing the risk of misusing published models when optimising dosing regimens. In this study, we aimed to develop a single model to simultaneously describe the PK of PIP/TAZ in diverse patient populations and evaluate the current dosing recommendations by predicting the PK/pharmacodynamics (PD) target attainment throughout life.
