Trichoepitheliomas are unusual, benign tumors of hair follicle origin. They may present in children and adults as acquired lesions on the body and face, but they rarely involve the eyelids. Solitary trichoepitheliomas have not previously been reported in infants. We present a first report of congenital solitary eyelid trichoepithelioma in an infant and review the classification of trichoepitheliomas.

Objectives: To assess the safety and efficacy of using microwave ablation (MWA) to treat solitary kidney (SK) patients with T1a renal cell carcinoma (RCC).
Methods: Retrospective analysis of a prospectively maintained database identified patients with T1a RCC with either congenital or acquired SK. Estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) was calculated from serum creatinine before MWA and after at 6 and 12 months post-procedure.

Purpose: To investigate the differences in computed tomography (CT) features between closed-type congenital cholesteatoma (CCC) and open-type congenital cholesteatoma (OCC) of the middle ear and to evaluate the usefulness of preoperative CT examination for staging workup of congenital cholesteatoma (CC) in correlation with the surgical findings.
Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the preoperative CT scans of the temporal bone obtained from 80 patients with surgically confirmed CC of the middle ear. All patients had a solitary lesion, except for one patient with two lesions, resulting in 81 CCs, which formed the basis of this study.

Importance: Port-wine stain (PWS) is a congenital vascular condition involving dilation of skin capillaries and venules, significantly affecting patients' physical and mental health. Pulsed dye laser (PDL) is widely used for PWS treatment; however, large-scale data on pediatric cases remain limited. This retrospective study aims to investigate the efficacy of laser treatment and its related factors in a large sample.

We report two congenitally malformed hearts found at autopsy to have common arterial trunk and pulmonary atresia. Both exhibited usual atrial arrangement, along with concordant atrioventricular connections. In one case, the common arterial trunk arose predominantly from the right ventricle, while the other had a balanced commitment.
