Background: The grading of pulmonary regurgitation (PR) severity by two-dimensional (2D) and Doppler echocardiography is not standardized. Cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging is the clinical gold standard for PR quantification. The purpose of this study was to determine the best 2D and Doppler echocardiographic predictors of severe PR.

Methods: Thirty-six patients with tetralogy of Fallot or pulmonary valve stenosis with prior pulmonary valvuloplasty or transannular or subannular patch repair underwent 2D and Doppler echocardiography and cardiovascular magnetic resonance. Two-dimensional and Doppler echocardiographic measurements used to predict severe PR included diastolic flow reversal in the main or branch pulmonary arteries, PR jet width > or = 50% of the pulmonary annulus, PR pressure half-time < 100 ms, and PR index < 0.77.

Results: With the exception of PR index, all indices were significant independent predictors of severe PR. The best univariate predictor of severe PR was branch pulmonary artery diastolic flow reversal.

Conclusion: Two-dimensional and Doppler echocardiography reliably identified severe PR in this cohort.

Silicon's dominance in integrated circuits is largely due to its stable native oxide, SiO, known for its insulating properties and excellent interface to the Si channel. However, silicon-based FETs face significant challenges when further scaled, which inspires the search for better semiconductors. While 2D materials such as MoS, WSe, BP, and InSe are promising, they lack a stable and compatible native oxide.

The complex relationship between three-dimensional (3D) speckle-tracking echocardiography (3DSTE)-derived left ventricular (LV) and left atrial (LA) volumes and functional properties has been demonstrated in recent studies. A better understanding of LV volumetric dependence on systolic peak LA (reservoir) strains in healthy circumstances could complete this knowledge. Therefore, 3DSTE was used for the simultaneous evaluation of these parameters in healthy adults, aiming to examine their complex relationship.

Volumetric changes in the left atrium (LA) and left ventricle (LV) are strongly associated in healthy circumstances, as recent three-dimensional speckle-tracking echocardiographic (3DSTE) studies confirmed. However, the complex relationship of LA and LV deformation in systole has never been assessed in healthy individuals. The present study purposed to perform comparative simultaneous analysis of systolic LA and LV strains in healthy adults by 3DSTE.

The contraction-relaxation pattern of the left atrial (LA) walls is opposite to that detected in the left ventricle, which includes thinning in radial, lengthening in longitudinal, and widening in circumferential directions in the systolic reservoir phase of LA function as measured by three-dimensional speckle-tracking echocardiography (3DSTE). Global longitudinal strain (GLS) is a quantitative feature of longitudinal wall contraction referring to the whole LA. The present study aims to clarify the expected prognostic impact of peak LA-GLS as assessed by 3DSTE in healthy participants during a long-term follow-up period.

Background: Human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 () was an important driver gene for breast cancer which had high degree of malignancy and poor prognosis. Ultrasonography was an important imaging method for the diagnosis of breast cancer, but its diagnostic efficacy of -positive breast cancer was not satisfactory. To assess the predictive value of two-dimensional ultrasonic feature extraction based on artificial intelligence (AI) combined with blood flow Adler classification and contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) for -positive breast cancer, we compared the value of the area under the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve (AUC) of the combined diagnosis model and single-factor models.
