Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the occurrence of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) at the University Hospital Olomouc (UHO) over a 10-year period (2013-2022).
Material And Methods: Data was obtained from the ENVIS LIMS laboratory information system (DS Soft, Czech Republic, Olomouc) of the Department of Microbiology, UHO, for the period 1/1/2013-31/12/2022. Standard microbiological procedures using the MALDI-TOF MS system (Biotyper Microflex, Bruker Daltonics) were applied for the identification.
Objective: To describe demographics, causative pathogens, hospitalization, mortality, and antimicrobial resistance of bacterial bloodstream infections (BSIs) among beneficiaries in the global U.S. Military Health System (MHS), a single-provider healthcare system with 10-year longitudinal follow-up.

Introduction: Giant cell tumor of bone (GCTB) ranks among the most prevalent locally aggressive tumor lesions, displaying a diverse range of biological behaviors. Recurrence of GCTB is well-documented, often attributed to microscopic tumour remnants remaining after intralesional curettage, with increased concern when infection occurs postoperatively. Studies suggest the limited effectiveness of adjuvants in preventing giant cell tumour recurrence, emphasizing the necessity of complete removal of malignant cells.

The increasing threat of antimicrobial-resistant bacteria, particularly Staphylococcus aureus, which rapidly develops multidrug resistance and commonly colonizes wound surfaces, demands innovative strategies. Phage-encoded endolysins offer a dual-purpose approach as topical therapies for infectious skin wounds and synergistic agents to reduce high-dose antibiotic dependence. This study explores recombinant CHAPk (rCHAPk), efficiently synthesized within 3 h, displaying broad-spectrum antibacterial activity against 11 Gram-positive strains, including resistant variants, with rapid bactericidal kinetics.
