Graphene ranks highly as a possible material for future high-speed and flexible electronics. Current fabrication routes, which rely on metal substrates, require post-synthesis transfer of the graphene onto a Si wafer, or in the case of epitaxial growth on SiC, temperatures above 1000 degrees C are required. Both the handling difficulty and high temperatures are not best suited to present day silicon technology. We report a facile chemical vapor deposition approach in which nanographene and few-layer nanographene are directly formed over magnesium oxide and can be achieved at temperatures as low as 325 degrees C.

Tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMSs) are essential for maintaining driving safety by continuously monitoring critical tire parameters, such as pressure and temperature, in real time during vehicle operation. Among these parameters, tire pressure is the most significant, necessitating the use of highly precise, cost-effective, and energy-efficient sensing technologies. With the rapid advancements in micro-electro-mechanical system (MEMS) technology, modern automotive sensing and monitoring systems increasingly rely on MEMS sensors due to their compact size, low cost, and low power consumption.

This work investigates the sustainable reuse of expanded polystyrene (EPS) waste through a multi-cycle physical recycling process involving dissolution in acetone and subsequent manufacturing via Direct Ink Write (DIW) 3D printing and casting. Morphology and mechanical properties were evaluated as a function of the manufacturing technique and number of dissolution cycles. Morphological analysis revealed that casted specimens better replicated the target geometry, while voids in 3D-printed specimens aligned with the printing direction due to rapid solvent evaporation.

Rift Valley Fever virus (RVFV) is a mosquito-borne virus with high pathogenic potential in ruminants and humans. Due to its high potential for spreading, it is considered a priority pathogen, and it is included in the Bluepoint list of the World Health Organization (WHO). Given the high pathogenic potential of the virus, it is crucial to develop a rapid heat-mediated inactivation protocol to create a safer working environment, particularly in medical facilities that lack a biosafety level 3 laboratory required for direct handling of RVFV.

Automotive-grade GaN power switches have recently been made available in the market from a growing number of semiconductor suppliers. The exploitation of this technology enables the development of very efficient power converters operating at much higher switching frequencies with respect to components implemented with silicon power devices. Thus, a new generation of automotive power components with an increased power density is expected to replace silicon-based products in the development of higher-performance electric and hybrid vehicles.

The composition of TBFS is complex. It is categorized into low (W < 5%), medium (5% < W < 20%), and high-titanium slag (W > 20%) based on Ti content. The titanium in the slag is underutilized, causing it to accumulate and contribute to environmental pollution.
