An experimental study on (14)N and (15)N simultaneous separation using the chemical exchange in NO, NO(2)-HNO(3) system under pressure is presented. The influence of the pressure and of the interstage 10 M HNO(3) flow rate on the separation of (14)N and (15)N was measured on a packed column with product and waste refluxers. At steady state and 1.8 atm (absolute), the isotopic concentration at the bottom of the separation column was 0.563 at% (15)N, and in the top of the column was 0.159 at% (15)N. The height equivalent to a theoretical plate and interstage 10 M HNO(3) flow rate values, obtained in these experimental conditions, allows the separation of (14)N highly depleted of (15)N and of (15)N at 99 at% (15)N concentration.

Background & Aims: We aimed to evaluate the association of frequency of polyp diagnosis in relatives with the risk of overall and early-onset colorectal cancer (CRC).
Methods: We leveraged data from nationwide Swedish family cancer datasets (1964-2018) to calculate standardized incidence ratios (SIRs) for individuals with a family history of polyp by frequency of polyp diagnosis in family members.
Results: We followed up 11,676,043 individuals for up to 54 years.

This study assesses differences in opioid use disorder (OUD) treatment among sexually and gender diverse (SGD) vs non-SGD people. Using electronic health record data from a federally qualified health center, this retrospective cohort study explores OUD treatment for adults with an OUD diagnosis, as well as any clinic visit from January 2013 until June 2021 (N = 1,133), through review of medication prescriptions for OUD and OUD-related visits. Patients identifying as lesbian/gay had the lowest prevalence of OUD, with 1% (n = 231) of lesbian/gay patients having an OUD diagnosis, as compared to 1.

Biological N fixation (BNF) is traced to the Archean. The nitrogen isotopic fractionation composition (δN) of sedimentary rocks is commonly used to reconstruct the presence of ancient diazotrophic ecosystems. Design and synthesis of new energetic materials retains its urgency in chemistry and materials science. Herein, rational construction and regioselective synthesis of a series of energetic compounds comprising of a methylene-bridged combination of 1,2,5-oxadiazole and nitrogen-rich azoles (1,2,4-triazole and tetrazole) enriched with additional explosophoric functionalities (nitro and azo moieties) is presented. All target materials were thoroughly characterized using IR and multinuclear NMR (H, C, N, N) NMR spectroscopy, high-resolution mass spectrometry, X-ray diffraction, and differential scanning calorimetry.
