Lower urinary tract syndrome is common in children. Incontinence, urinary tract infection, vesicoureteral reflux, and constipation are commonly associated with this syndrome. Examining the clinical history of the afflicted patient plays a major role in the accurate diagnosis and treatment of lower urinary tract disorder. This study was aimed to identify the most frequently observed pathogens in uncomplicated urinary tract infections from outpatient urinary isolates obtained across seven different geographical regions in Türkiye and to determine whether the antibiotic resistance rates of these pathogens differ significantly between these regions. The study included patients aged 18 to 65 years who were diagnosed with uncomplicated urinary tract infections and had positive urine cultures from March 2021 to August 2022, across 37 different centers in Türkiye. The participating centers were selected based on their use of the disk diffusion method, in line with the European Committee on Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (EUCAST) guidelines, to ensure standardization of urine culture data.

Objectives: To evaluate urinalysis parameters useful for identifying mixed cultures in urine culture using an automated urinary particle analyzer to assess quality indicators (QIs) for urine sample contamination.
Methods: A retrospective observational cross-sectional study was conducted with 2,527 urine samples from patients of a quaternary hospital in Brazil. Urine samples were processed simultaneously in Sysmex UF-5000 flow cytometry analyzer (urinalysis) and MALDI-TOF (culture).

Importance: This study is important as it challenges the effectiveness of silver-coated catheters in reducing urinary tract infections (UTIs) after pelvic floor surgery (PFS).
Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the incidence of UTIs in patients using silver-coated silicone transurethral indwelling catheters (TICs) compared with standard silicone TICs among women with postoperative urinary retention following PFS.
Study Design: This was a double-blind, randomized controlled trial of women undergoing PFS between June 2022 and February 2024 with postoperative urinary retention.

The interplay between multiple organs, known as inter-organ crosstalk, represents a complex and essential research domain in understanding the mechanisms and therapies for kidney diseases. The kidneys not only interact pathologically with many other organs but also communicate with other systems through various signaling pathways. It is of paramount importance to comprehend these mechanisms for the development of more efficient therapeutic strategies.
