Societal costs of decreased visual acuity: A Finnish cohort study with 15 years of registry data follow-up.

Purpose: To examine what direct and indirect societal costs are associated with decreased visual acuity (VA).
Methods: Nationally representative sample of 8028 Finnish adults aged 30 years or older with survey data and clinical examination including VA assessment was evaluated. These data were linked with multiple national registers to capture health care services utilization during 1999-2013.
Unlabelled: The deubiquitinating enzyme BAP1, the catalytic subunit of the PR-DUB complex, is implicated in several cancers, in the familial cancer syndrome BAP1 Tumor Predisposition Syndrome, and in the neurodevelopmental disorder Küry -Isidor syndrome. In there are numerous reports in the literature describing developmental patterning phenotypes for several chromatin regulators including the discovery of Polycomb itself, but corresponding adult morphological phenotypes caused by developmental dysregulation of ortholog ( ) are less well-described. We report here that knockdown of in the eye and wing produce concomitant chromatin dysregulation phenotypes.

Aim: To assess the possibility of using different large language models (LLMs) in ocular surface diseases by selecting five different LLMS to test their accuracy in answering specialized questions related to ocular surface diseases: ChatGPT-4, ChatGPT-3.5, Claude 2, PaLM2, and SenseNova.
Methods: A group of experienced ophthalmology professors were asked to develop a 100-question single-choice question on ocular surface diseases designed to assess the performance of LLMs and human participants in answering ophthalmology specialty exam questions.

Introduction: Vestibular migraine (VM), particularly its chronic variant, poses a diagnostic challenge. Patients suffering from VM may not have the characteristic headaches associated with the dizziness. In these cases, a marker for migraine pathology in general could help appropriately diagnose certain types of dizziness as migrainous despite these patients not meeting current diagnostic criteria for VM.
