Background: Community-associated methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (CA-MRSA) has been increasingly reported over the past decade, including in Asian/Pacific Islanders (A/PIs).
Methods: We conducted ethnographic interviews in O'ahu and Kaua'i, Hawai'i, with 10 Asian/Pacific Islanders identified as having a history of CA-MRSA infections.
Results: Most (7/10) thought skin infections were not a new problem in Hawai'i. Most (8/9) attempted to self-treat the infection prior to seeking medical care with a range of home remedies and store- bought solutions. Most respondents did not initially comprehend the severity of their infection and only sought medical treatment after concern from family, unbearable pain, and/or other symptoms of illness.
Conclusion: Clinicians should be aware of the reportedly frequent use of home remedies by this population, as it may potentially contribute to interactions when treatments are combined. If clinicians and public health professionals do not address perceptions and misperceptions of how MRSA is acquired, it will be very difficult to prevent infection, and may also delay individuals from seeking treatment.

Purpose: Between April-October 2021, the New York City (NYC) Health Department conducted a serosurvey to assess prevalence of SARS-CoV-2 antibodies in NYC adults as part of continued COVID-19 surveillance efforts.
Methods: Whole blood specimens were collected from 1035 adult NYC residents recruited from an annual population-based health surveillance survey. Specimens were tested for the presence of anti-SARS-CoV-2 spike protein (anti-spike) and anti-SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid protein (anti-nucleocapsid) antibodies.

Purpose: To describe the relationship between experiencing traumatic childbirth events and burnout.
Study Designs And Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study used an anonymous online survey to assess traumatic childbirth event exposure and the three independent constructs of burnout: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and personal accomplishment. Participants were a convenience sample of registered nurses, obstetric residents, family medicine residents, and attending obstetricians across five hospitals from December 2020 through June 2021.
Objective: Menopausal hormone therapy (HT) has been shown to be effective in alleviating symptoms of menopause. While previous literature has described the frequency of HT use for the relief of menopausal symptoms in both the general and veteran female populations, there is currently no literature describing this frequency within the female active duty population. This study aims to address this gap in knowledge by conducting a retrospective cross-sectional study of HT receipt in active duty service women (ADSW) ages 45 to 64 during fiscal years (FYs) 2018 to 2022.

In the United States kidney allocation system, HLA antigen-level matching has been shown to cause ethnic disparities and thus, has been de-emphasised. However, priority points are still awarded for antigen-level zero-ABDR matching, zero-DR matching and one-DR matching.
