Objective: To estimate rates of migraine progression and assess predictors of progression in a large, longitudinal cohort study using the traditional definition and two alternative definitions of migraine progression.
Background: Traditionally, migraine progression is defined as moving from episodic migraine (EM) with ≤ 14 monthly headache days (MHD) to chronic migraine (CM) with ≥ 15 MHDs of which 8 are attributable to migraine. This definition does not take into account changes in the full range of potential headache days, disability, or impact on function.

Theoretical and practical guidance on how to navigate uncertainties in healthcare are scarce. Here, we draw from Gibson's ethic of openness to explore clinicians' experiences navigating uncertainty with individuals who experience low back pain (LBP) and provide guidance on avenues for navigating uncertainty in LBP and healthcare more broadly. Our analysis suggests that clinicians practice within different philosophical commitments when providing care for individuals with LBP, with some of them aligning with a (post)positivist approach with pre-determined endpoints and others an ethic of openness, with no fixed endpoints and consideration of multiple options and perspectives.

Postoperative abdominal adhesions are the leading cause of bowel obstruction and a cause of chronic pain and infertility. Adhesion formation occurs after 50 to 90% of abdominal operations and has no proven preventative or treatment strategy. Abdominal adhesions derive primarily from the visceral peritoneum and are composed of polyclonally proliferating tissue-resident fibroblasts.

The evidence for primary motor cortex reorganization in people with low back pain varies and is conflicting. Little is known about its association with motor and sensory tests, and recovery. We investigated primary motor cortex (re)organization and its associations with motor and sensory tests over time in people with (N = 25) and without (N = 25) low back pain in a longitudinal study with a 5-week follow-up.

Ulcerative colitis is a type of chronic inflammatory bowel disease characterised by abdominal pain, bloody diarrhoea, rectal bleeding and ulcerations in colon. This illness has significant health risks as it easily relapses, thus, providing a considerable threat to human health. A number of inflammatory mediators, oxidative stress and role of gut microbes have been studied thoroughly to understand the exact pathophysiology behind the disease occurrence.
