: Artificial intelligence (AI) is gaining an increasing amount of influence in various fields, including medicine. In radiology, where diagnoses are based on collaboration between diagnostic devices and the professional experience of radiologists, AI intervention seems much easier than in other fields, but this is often not the case. Many times, the patients orient themselves according to the doctor, which is not applicable in the case of AI.

Temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) represents a prevalent form of focal epilepsy that often requires surgical intervention and can be resistant to antiseizure medications. Its epidemiology varies across regions due to diagnostic challenges and underestimation of individual neurological traits. Despite these complexities, TLE accounts for a significant proportion of total epilepsies worldwide.

This paper reports three rare cases of accidental sodium nitrite poisoning, including one fatality, caused by the consumption of aspic purchased from a private vendor. Clinical symptoms included cyanosis, hypotension, and respiratory distress, with methemoglobin (MetHb) levels ranging from 5 % to 41.7 %.

A 36-year-old woman diagnosed with complicated cholecystolithiasis underwent elective laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC), then converted to open cholecystectomy because of a massive intraoperative bleeding. Hemostasis was performed with clipping and suturing the source of bleeding. In post-operative period, the patient suffered from persistent anemia associated with hemoperitoneum diagnosed through abdominal CT scanning, in absence of any sign of active bleeding.
