Background: We report the first case of isolated pancreatic lymph node recurrence in a locally advanced breast cancer patient.
Case: A 41-year old woman underwent radical mastectomy according to Madden and removal of axillary lymph nodes for multicentric infiltrating ductal carcinoma pathologically staged as pT2N2M0. After six years from primary diagnosis, and four years from the diagnosis of lung recurrence, she developed an isolated metastatic lesion to pancreatic lymph node. After surgical excision of metastasis, hormone therapy with Exemestane was begun. At 16 months of follow-up, the patient appears free of disease.
Conclusion: Because metastatization to visceral organ carries a very unfavorable prognosis, we think that the clinical significance of the elevation of CA 15.3 serum levels in the early detection of recurrence and in monitoring metastatic disease during follow-up, should be not underestimated.

: The robotic approach is an appealing way to perform minimally invasive pancreaticoduodenectomy. We compare robotic cases' short-term and oncological outcomes to a historical cohort of open cases. : Data were collected in a prospective database between 2016 and 2024; complications were graded using the ISGPS definition for the specific pancreas-related complications and the Clavien-Dindo classification for overall complications.

Background: Ampullary adenocarcinoma (AAC) typically presents at an early stage due to biliary obstruction and therefore might be specifically suitable for minimally invasive pancreatoduodenectomy (MIPD). However, studies assessing MIPD specifically for AAC, including the robotic and laparoscopic approach, are limited. The aim of this study is to compare short- and long-term oncological resection and perioperative outcomes of robotic (RPD), laparoscopic (LPD) and open pancreatoduodenectomy (OPD) performed specifically for AAC.

Objective: The efficacy and safety of transcervical inflatable mediastinoscopic esophagectomy (TIME) in the treatment of esophageal cancer are unclear. The objective of this meta-analysis was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of TIME treatment for esophageal cancer and to compare it with thoracoscopic assisted minimally invasive esophagectomy (TAMIE) for the treatment of esophageal cancer.
Methods: A literature search was performed using PubMed, Embase, and the Cochrane Library to retrieve articles published up to January 2024 to comparatively assess studies of TIME and TAMIE.

Purpose: To explore the dynamic and parametric characteristics of [F]F-FAPI-42 PET/CT in lung cancers.
Methods: Nineteen participants with newly diagnosed lung cancer underwent 60-min dynamic [F]F-FAPI-42 PET/CT. Time-activity curves (TAC) were generated for tumors and normal organs, with kinetic parameters (K, K, K, K, K) calculated.
Aim: Lymph node metastasis is an adverse prognostic factor in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. However, it remains a challenge to predict lymph node metastasis using preoperative imaging alone. We used machine learning (combining preoperative imaging findings, tumor markers, and clinical information) to create a novel prediction model for lymph node metastasis in resectable pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma.
