In the introduction of the paper the authors abalyze the problem of stable and long-term fixation of endoprostheses of the hip joint. They present statistics on the ratio of surgical revisions of endoprostheses of the hip joint in 1993-1996 which has a rising trend. In the subsequent part of the paper they deal with the problem of early diagnosis of loosening in the stage when only subjective data reported by the patient are available and the X-ray finding does not yet show signs of osteolysis and loosening of the TEP. Therefore they started to use in 1993 as a diagnostic aid three-phase all-skeletal scintigraphy. So far they used it in 18 patients with 100% reliability, as confirmed on operation. The authors describe in detail the method of three-phase scintigraphy with special emphasis on phase III. The results of scintigraphy are demonstrated on two patients. Background And Objective: Yttrium-90 plays a significant role in managing drug-resistant inflammatory arthritis through radionuclide synovectomy, where the radioisotope is injected into the affected joint to alleviate pain and inflammation by targeting the synovial tissue. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of Yttrium-90 hydroxyapatite radionuclide synovectomy in improving joint functionality, as judged by physicians, in patients with inflammatory arthritis who had not responded to conventional treatments.
Methods: Patients with inflammatory arthritis were recruited from the orthopedics department and referred to the nuclear medicine department for evaluation.

Background: In patients with Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), osteonecrosis of various joints is a debilitating complication associated with the disease and its treatment, in which a considerable proportion of osteonecrosis may be asymptomatic. Recognizing the crucial role of early and timely detection, as well as appropriate management of asymptomatic osteonecrosis, in preventing joint destruction, we conducted a study to evaluate the prevalence of asymptomatic osteonecrosis in SLE patients who have already been diagnosed with symptomatic osteonecrosis. Additionally, we aimed to examine the relationship between proposed risk factors of osteonecrosis and the development of asymptomatic osteonecrosis.

However, its specificity is limited, and findings may be falsely positive for up to 2 years after total joint arthroplasty because of physiologic bone remodeling.
