Recently, as the number of cancer patients has increased, much research is being conducted for efficient treatment, including the use of artificial intelligence in genitourinary pathology. Recent research has focused largely on the classification of renal cell carcinoma subtypes. Nonetheless, the broader categorization of renal tissue into non-neoplastic normal tissue, benign tumor and malignant tumor remains understudied.

The case report presents a male patient in his mid-60s with a history of hypertension, benign prostatic hyperplasia and chronic kidney disease (CKD). : Bupropion, an atypical antidepressant and smoking cessation aid, is known for its potential to cause seizures, cardiotoxicity and neurotoxicity in overdose scenarios. However, overdoses may present variably, and muscular and renal complications, such as rhabdomyolysis and acute kidney injury (AKI), can emerge in unexpected ways. Previous reports have shown that severe overdoses can lead to a spectrum of complications, but the precise mechanisms linking bupropion overdose with rhabdomyolysis remain poorly understood.

Perioperative dysglycaemia in cardiac surgery is associated with poor outcomes. Glycaemic variability rather than glucose levels is a predictor of the length of an ICU stay, a rise in creatinine and acute kidney injury after cardiac surgery. Glycated haemoglobin (HbA) values correspond closely to average blood glucose levels and cut-off values can be used to define a diabetic and pre-diabetic status.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate which anthropometric index, either body mass index (BMI) or weight-adjusted waist index (WWI), is more accurately associated with the prevalence of the most common chronic diseases and components of geriatric assessment in hospitalized older adults.
Methods: The study included a total of 2945 hospitalized older adults (median age 82 years). The associations between the presence of chronic diseases and Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment (CGA) results were compared with WWI and BMI values.
