Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have emerged as pivotal regulatory molecules in cancer biology. Among these, long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 02418 (LINC02418), a recently identified lncRNA, has been linked to endometrial cancer (EC), although its function and operational mechanisms are largely unclear. The present investigation aims to elucidate the molecular mechanism through which LINC02418 influences EC pathogenesis.

The Rous sarcoma virus (RSV) is an onco-retrovirus that infects avian species such as the chicken (Gallus gallus). RSV is the first oncovirus to be described, and the oncogenic activity of this virus is related to the expression of a tyrosine kinase that induces carcinogenic transformation. Interestingly, we have noted that the RSV genome contains various potential G4-forming sequences.

Diffuse sclerosing osteomyelitis (DSO) is a non-bacterial disease of the jawbone, characterized by intermittent pain, swelling, and a mixture of osteosclerosis and osteolysis on radiographs. Its etiology remains unclear, and a standard treatment, based on clear diagnostic criteria, has not been established. We present the case of a 48-year-old male patient, who was initially diagnosed with chronic mandibular osteomyelitis due to apical periodontitis in the right lower second premolar, and underwent antimicrobial medication and surgical therapy based on computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and bone scintigraphy.
