A 40-year-old man was emergently hospitalized because of high fever, a transient ischemic attack, and complete atrioventricular block. The diagnosis was endocarditis, cyst of the interventricular septum (IVS), and complete atrioventricular block. A temporary pacemaker was introduced, and the patient underwent surgery that included IVS cystectomy, ventricular septum plication, and aortic valve replacement. A permanent pacemaker was implanted during the early postoperative period. The patient was discharged from the medical center on day 9 after primary surgery. At the 4-month postoperative follow-up, the patient was found to be in normal condition. Patients with high temperature, heart rhythm and conduction disorders, and dyspnea of unknown etiology might be harboring Echinococcus despite the absence of primary liver or lung damage. Urgent surgical treatment is necessary even on suspicion of complicated hydatid damage to the heart.

We report reversible severe infranodal conduction disturbances that followed COVID-19 vaccination in a young woman. Right and left bundle branch conduction were impaired and recovered at different times, resulting in reversible paroxysmal complete atrioventricular block.

Aims: The study was designed to investigate the characteristics of atrial ventricular coupling and left atrial (LA) function impairment in patients with Fabry disease (FD), especially those in the early stages of the condition.
Methods: A total of 65 patients with Fabry disease who completed echocardiographic examinations from January 2018 to May 2024 were ultimately included. Among them, 25 patients with FD did not have left ventricular (LV) hypertrophy (LVH).

The cardiovascular implications of thyroid disease have been recognized as one of the most characteristic signs that result from the effect of thyroid hormone (TH). Both hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism produce changes in cardiac contractility, myocardial oxygen consumption, cardiac output, blood pressure, and systemic vascular resistance. The bradyarrhythmias, including atrioventricular block and sick sinus syndrome, are exceedingly rare in hyperthyroidism.

Although the heart atria have a lesser functional importance than the ventricles, atria play an important role in the pathophysiology of heart failure and supraventricular arrhythmias, particularly atrial fibrillation. In addition, knowledge of atrial morphology recently became more relevant as cardiac electrophysiology and interventional procedures in the atria gained an increasingly significant role in the clinical management of patients with heart disease. The atrial chambers are thin-walled, and several vessels enter at the level of the atria.

Left bundle branch area pacing (LBBAP) can effectively enhance cardiac contraction by engaging the conduction system. LBBAP, compared with right ventricular apex pacing, can reduce QRS duration and enhance left ventricular function. Consequently, LBBAP has been proposed as a viable alternative to cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT).
