Background: Debridement is considered the first step in treatment of chronic wounds, however, current enzymatic and autolytic debridement agents are slow or ineffective. Previous studies have shown positive initial results with EscharEx® (EX-02 formulation), a Bromelain-based enzymatic debridement agent in development for chronic wounds. The main objective of this study was to assess its efficacy in debriding venous leg ulcers (VLU), compared to gel vehicle (GV) as a placebo control and to non-surgical standard of care (NSSOC).

Combination topical treatments that target multiple acne pathophysiological pathways are more efficacious than topical monotherapies, and simplifying combination treatment by delivering multiple active ingredients as fixed combinations may improve adherence.
Methods: This review provides an overview of efficacy with 4 weeks of treatment in pivotal trials of fixed-combination topical treatments for acne.

Acne is a chronic dermatologic disorder that can require long-term treatment. To prevent recurrence after oral treatment for severe acne, topical maintenance treatment is recommended; however, there is little guidance or research on maintenance regimens. This article briefly summarizes literature on oral isotretinoin and topical retinoids and presents a case series of patients who received tazarotene 0.

Background: Topical retinoids, while renowned for their efficacy in treating acne vulgaris, are often hampered by inter-individual variability in tolerability. This challenge, primarily driven by side effects like erythema, scaling, and dryness, significantly impacts patient adherence and, ultimately, treatment outcomes.
Aims: This prospective, multi-center, observational study investigated the novel role of a specific dermocosmetic regimen as adjunctive therapy, focusing on its ability to mitigate retinoid-induced side effects and enhance the overall tolerability of acne treatment regimens in a Korean population.

Background/objective: Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic, relapsing inflammatory skin disease that typically occurs in childhood/infancy and is associated with complications like extracutaneous atopic morbidity. Providing systemic treatment for pediatric AD patients with unmet comprehensive medical needs remains challenging. We present a cohort study describing the efficacy and safety of dupilumab combined with topical calcineurin inhibitors (TCI) in children with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis under the age of 6 years.
