In tropical nations, snakebite envenomation is a significant public health issue with negative human and social effects. This is due to three factors: 1) more species of the most hazardous snakes are present; 2) emergency medical assistance is not readily available; and 3) inadequate health care. The problems caused by snakebite envenomation have been partially resolved by immunotherapy.

Introduction: The pulmonary Hot Clot artifact (HCa) on 18F-FDG PET/CT is a poorly understood phenomenon, corresponding to the presence of a focal tracer uptake without anatomical lesion on combined CTscan. The hypothesis proposed in the literature is of microembolic origin. Our objectives were to determine the incidence of HCa, to analyze its characteristics and to identify associated factors.

Venous thrombosis (VT) is a serious medical condition in which a blood clot forms in deep veins, often causing limb swelling and pain. Current antithrombotic therapies carry significant bleeding risks resulting from targeting essential coagulation factors. Recent advances in this field have revealed that the cross talk between the innate immune system and coagulation cascade is a key driver of VT pathogenesis, offering new opportunities for potential therapeutic interventions without inducing bleeding complications.

Untreated menopause may have serious health implications, but treatments can have dangerous side effects. We evaluate menopausal symptoms as well as available treatments -the routes of administration and their effect on blood coagulation. Menopausal females may experience hot flushes, vulva- and vaginal atrophy and osteoporosis.
