This study tested the accuracy and thermodynamic consistency of four CEoS/α-function models. The objective was to find the most suitable CEoS/α-function combo for producing accurate and consistent physical and derivative properties for nonpolar, polar and hydrogen bonding components at subcritical conditions. The models tested were PR-Twu, PR-Soave, RK-Twu, and RK-Soave.

Before the pandemic, many businesses were beginning to adopt ICTs but only 8.1 % were selling their products and services online.

The negative portrayal of ageing as a human decline burdening society has prompted Ageing Technology industries (AgeTech) to foresee solutions rooted in the Ageing in Place paradigm. These ostensibly neutral future interventions are intertwined with socio-technical dynamics. Marine fisheries are increasingly impacted by climate change, affecting species distribution and productivity, and necessitating urgent adaptation efforts. Climate vulnerability assessments (CVA), integrating expert knowledge, are vital for identifying species that could thrive or suffer under changing environmental conditions. This study presents a first CVA for the Western Baltic Sea's fish community, a crucial fishing area for Denmark and Germany.

This study investigated whether the facial expressions of chief executive officers (CEOs) are associated with corporate performance. A photograph of the CEO or president of each company that appeared on the Fortune Global 500 list for 2018 was taken from the company's official website. The smile intensity and action unit activation in each face were calculated using a pre-trained machine learning algorithm, FACET.
