Direct regenerative amplifications of green pulses (522 nm) were investigated using a Pr-doped LiYF crystal pumped by GaN blue laser diodes. Green pulses with two different temporal duration regimes, i.e.

Theoretical and experimental investigation of two-stage optical parametric generator based on magnesium oxide doped periodically poled lithium niobate (MgO:PPLN) crystal and optical parametric amplifier based on lithium triborate (LBO) crystal is presented. The first stage crystal was pumped by the subnanosecond fundamental harmonic at 1064 nm wavelength. In the theoretical description, the input signal and idler photons are described by the quantum model and their further amplification is tracked by simulating the nonlinear coupling equations.

In this Letter, we report for the first time to our knowledge a 2 mJ-level 2.09 µm Ho:YAG regenerative amplifier (RA) seeded by the first-stage Ho-doped fiber (HDF) preamplifier of a gain-switched laser diode (GSLD). After the single-pass power amplifier (SPPA), the output of a 2.

We introduce a fully-integrated two-color sub-nanosecond fiber laser system that incorporates a backward-pumped polarization-maintaining (PM) Raman phosphosilicate fiber amplifier (RFA) followed by two fully-integrated fiber-coupled second harmonic generator (SHG) modules. The RFA is pumped by a continuous-wave (CW) Yb laser operating at 1116 nm. The pulsed signals are generated by gain-switched distributed feedback (DFB) laser diodes at 1178 nm and 1310 nm, respectively.

We demonstrate what we believe to be a new approach to energetic picosecond 10.2-µm pulse generation based on nonlinear mixing of subnanosecond single-frequency 1338-nm pulses and broadband 1540-nm chirped pulses in a BGGSe crystal followed by a grating compressor for the purpose of seeding high-power CO amplifiers. The energy of the 10.
