A deep red emission polymer (PPV-Q) was synthesized successfully. The photoluminescence, electroluminescence and absorption performance of this polymer were studied in detail. The experimental results show that the polymer has strong absorption in the ultraviolet and blue emission wavelength region. The effective excitation wavelength is about 463 nm. The organic emitting diodes based on the polymer as the active layer were prepared with the device structure: ITO/PPV-Q/Al. The electroluminescence of these devices was obtained and the peak emission wavelength is about 670 nm; the electroluminescence spectra have the full width at half maximum of about 90 nm. The CIE coordinate remains constant at (x = 0.67, y = 0.32) without change with the increase in driving voltage. The electroluminescence of this device (ITO/PPV-Q/Al) shows deep red emission. However, the current increases with the increase in driving voltage.

Limited by the two mutually exclusive physicochemical processes of separation and recombination of photogenerated carriers, achieving photoluminescence and photocatalysis simultaneously is extremely challenging but essential for ever-growing complex issues and specialized scenarios. Here we proposed a biomimetic isolation-conduction strategy induced by an arene-perfluoroarene (A-P) interaction for enabling photoluminescence and photocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) activity in the co-assembly of aromatic monomers and octafluoronapthalene (OFN). Inspired by the isolation-conduction effect of periodic isolation of myelin sheaths on the axons of vertebrate nerve fibers by node of Ranvier, we use OFN as a molecular isolator embedded in the aromatic monomers array to block the singlet-to-triplet pathway, while the enlarged intermolecular dipoles resulting from the A-P interactions facilitate the conduction of photogenerated carriers in the isolated regions.

To examine the water-induced photoluminescence turn-on and its potential application in trace water sensing, a new series of [Ln(dmba)(HO)]·2HO, where Ln = La (), Pr (), Nd (), Sm (), Eu (), Gd (), Tb (), Dy (), Ho (), and Er (), were synthesized using dimethoxybenzoic acid (Hdmba). Their single-crystal structures and thermal and chemical robustness were investigated, and the effects of lanthanide contraction and noncovalent interactions were discussed. The photoluminescence and colorimetric properties of - were investigated.

In this study, an intelligent nanoparticle system (CCM+TTD@ZIF-8 NPs) was prepared using curcumin (CCM), an aggregation-induced emission luminogens (TTD), and ZIF-8 for infection-induced wound healing. The CCM+TTD@ZIF-8 NPs showed multiple functions, including bacteria targeting, fluorescence imaging and pH response-guided photodynamic therapy (PDT), and anti-inflammatory.

Our review summarizes the diagnostic accuracy of plasma and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) phosphorylated tau 217 (p-tau217) in detecting amyloid and tau pathology on positron emission tomography (PET). We systematically reviewed studies that reported the diagnostic accuracy of plasma and CSF p-tau217, searching MEDLINE/PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science through August 2024. The accuracy of p-tau217 in predicting amyloid and tau pathology on PET was evaluated in 30 studies.

In this work, the structural and photophysical characterization of statistical co-crystals based on two homoleptic Pt(II) and Pd(II) complexes as well as their mechano-responsive properties are reported. Ligand-dominated H⋯F bonds, which reinforce metal-metal interactions in the crystalline state, support emission from MMLCT states. All co-crystals show a distinct red-shift upon grinding, showcasing their inherent mechano-responsive characteristics stemming from (hetero-)bimetallic contacts.
