Objective: Test the hypothesis that depressive symptoms are associated with cognitive performance and that cortisol levels may explain this association independently of Alzheimer's Disease (AD) biomarker levels.
Design: Longitudinal observational study.
Setting: Memory clinic, Karolinska University Hospital, Stockholm, Sweden.

Healthcare professionals face complex ethical dilemmas in clinical settings in cases involving end-of-life care, informed consent, and surrogate decision-making. These nuanced situations often lead to moral distress among care providers. This paper introduces the Bioethics Artificial Intelligence Advisory (BAIA) framework, a novel and innovative approach that leverages artificial intelligence (AI) to support clinical ethical decision-making.

Background: Mitochondrial-encoded circular RNAs (mecciRNAs) are a newly discovered class of mitochondrial-encoded non-coding RNAs (mt-ncRNAs) that play important biological roles in the cell. This study aimed to examine the expression profile of SCAR/mc-COX2 (has_circ_0089762) in colorectal cancer (CRC) and its relationship with clinicopathological variables. Furthermore, to better understand SCAR/mc-COX2's functional role in CRC, we constructed a competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) network.

This paper presents a large publicly available benchmark dataset (TCMEval-SDT) for the thought process involved in syndrome differentiation in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). The dataset consists of 300 TCM syndrome diagnosis cases sourced from the internet, classical Chinese medical texts, and medical records from hospitals, with metadata adhering to the Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable (FAIR) principles. Each case has been annotated and curated by TCM experts and includes medical record ID, clinical data, explanatory summary, TCM syndrome, clinical information, and TCM pathogenesis, to support algorithms or models in emulating the diagnostic process of TCM clinicians.
