After a short introduction about the most important clinical and radiologic features of chronic osteomyelitis of the jaw, the Authors describe the case of a patient affected by the above mentioned pathology since 1984. The understatement of this pathology had led to an involvement of the inferior alveolar nerve. Finally, the Authors emphasize the importance of a combined therapy, both pharmacological and surgical, to eliminate the infection.
