A case of tuberculous otitis media with post auricular abscess is being described in a 14-year-old female patient in view of its rare occurrence. The diagnosis was made on demonstration of acid fast bacilli (AFB) in the ear discharge and characteristic cytological features of post auricular abscess aspirate.

Objectives: To assess the use of occipital vessels for microvascular anastomosis in head and neck free tissue transfer reconstruction.
Methods: A literature search was undertaken to identify studies utilizing the occipital vessels for microvascular anastomosis in free tissue transfer. Following literature review, 30 anatomic cadaveric dissections on 15 fresh unfixed cadavers were performed to evaluate the occipital artery and identify a reliable vein within reasonable proximity.

Objective: Stiff person syndrome (SPS) is a rare neurological disorder. Treatments are limited, and non-pharmacologic therapies are recommended based on symptomatology. A G2P2002 post-menopausal 60-year-old female with hypertension, obesity, and type II diabetes, and SPS secondary to a paraneoplastic process cause by endometrioid ovarian adenocarcinoma who presented to acupuncture clinic seeking treatment for SPS and its sequela.

Conditions such as congenital abnormalities, cancer, infections, and trauma can severely impact the integrity of the auricular cartilage, resulting in the need for a replacement structure. Current implants, carved from the patient's rib, involve multiple surgeries and carry risks of adverse events such as contamination, rejection, and reabsorption. Tissue engineering aims to develop lifelong auricular bioimplants using different methods, different cell types, growth factors and maintenance media formulations, and scaffolding materials compatible with the host.
